Marketing Tools

You can use this tool to rank items when the shopper performs advanced searches. The item appears in the Best Sellers column in search results. The higher the item rank, the higher the item appears in the product list. To refresh the page, click refresh_icon.gif.

  1. Click Marketing Tools and select Preferred Items.

  2. The Preferred Items Management page opens. You can:

    Click plus_button.gif to display item details.

    Click edit_icon.gif to edit the item. Enter the new information over the existing information. Click save_icon.gif.

    Click big_red_x.gif to delete a preferred item. At the Are You Sure prompt, click OK.

    Click add_new_admin_user.gif Add New Item.

  1. Click the Keyword box and enter a keyword for this item. The keyword you specify must be a keyword or be part of the item's description in order for it to display as a preferred item. For example if you add FEL00001 with the keywords File Folder  and file folder is not part of the FEL00001 item's keyword or description in e-content, this item does not display as a preferred item when an shopper enters File Folder as part of a keyword search.

  2. Click the Item Company box and enter the item's manufacturer, FEL, for example.

  3. Click the Item Number box and enter the item's stock number.

  4. Click the Rank box and enter the sales rank of the item. The higher the item rank, the higher the item appears in the product list.

  5. Click add_new_admin_user.gif.
