View Catalog Detail

If you are using an Enhanced Content Provider (ECP), such as S.P. Richards or United Stationers, the ECP sync information appears at the bottom of the page. When you have completed a custom catalog containing all the items to promote through your ECP’s system, you can authorize it as your current ECP custom product set. After the nightly indexing of Catalog Combination Indexes (CCI) and contracts and/or laundry list synchronizations, your ECP runs a process to add your authorized ECP custom catalog. This makes your custom content available in Enhanced Search Results, Item Comparisons, Browse Catalogs, Item Detail, and Alternative Product features, including Similar Products that match the product category.

  1. From the Catalog Detail page, click Authorize this Catalog as the ECP Product Set.

  2. A new page opens that lets you synchronize the catalog. Synchronizing a catalog uploads the product information to your Enhanced Content Provider. This process may take several minutes. To perform this step, click Yes.

Note: If you already have a catalog authorized as your ECP product set, a warning message appears. There can be only one ECP authorized catalog on your site at a time.

  1. The system displays the number of items removed and the time elapsed since the process began. When finished, click Continue. The catalog detail page re-opens. The text This Catalog Has Been Authorized appears, along with the wholesaler who provides ECP synchronization and the last synchronization date.

Note: The Remove Authorization for the Current Catalog as the ECP Product Set link appears. You can click this link to remove the catalog you just synchronized. If you do, the Processing message appears.

  1. You can also add categories to the Enhanced Content Provider catalog. To do so, type C or click the Add Categories from ECP link. Add the categories and map the items as you normally would. For more information, see Add Categories from ECP.

  2. When finished adding categories, click Dashboard to return to the Custom Product Management page.
